Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The six questions—your gender, birth date, how you describe your health, tobacco use, the coverage amount you want, and the number of years you want—are sufficient for carriers to quote rates. Your name, address, and health history are gathered only if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
Those are the rates carriers quote for the health category you chose. The carrier determines your final premium after they review your application through underwriting, which can confirm, upgrade, or downgrade your category. These quotes are for information only and carry no promise of a specific price.
What happens when I click Apply?
You enter your name, and your chosen quote is used to create the application, which then moves to the carriers' secure platform. You can step away and return, and your signature is electronic. Your application goes through Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California firm (License 0B75129).
Will I need a medical exam?
It varies by insurer, the amount, and your specific answers. Many carriers now use rapid underwriting to decide qualified applicants within hours, without a paramedical exam. Every quote on this site indicates whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required.
Is a longer term better?
Your term must cover the years when losing your income would harm your household: a mortgage balance, children at home, business debt. Longer terms have higher monthly fees but protect your rate for longer. You can compare 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 years with the quote tool.
Does this site sell my information?
No. We do not get contact details from the quote tool. We do not sell or hand over visitor information. Our measurement does not use cookies. Look at the privacy page for specifics about what the site captures and who accesses it.
